The challenge
As a consultant, I was asked to rethink about the consumer mobile app redesign. 
How to provide a high level vision of the future state of this app?

The approach - strategy
First of all we conducted a competitor analysis, studying the same market segment.
To ensure a more focused approach, we concentrated on a single user journey, taking into account the size of our team.
We conducted a design audit to highlight pain points, focussing  of the main user journey. 
What we found out was that the current state of the app was outdated from a UX and UI perspective, comparing to other brands.
 
Define
After all the analysis and some internal user testing, we had more clarity on the areas to tackle coming to the conclusion that we could have improved the usability of the journey starting from the homepage, to the product detail page.
Ideate - design
We started the design phase paying extra attention to some design principles that were not followed, according to the current state of the mobile app. Principles like simplicity, hierarchy and accessibility really helped us to bring to life a much more usable mobile app.
